Force Fiber® OrthoTape® Braid

Force Fiber® OrthoTape® Braid features a low profile and broad footprint. The braid, indicated for orthopedic procedures, is ideal for applications where tissue pull-through may be a concern.

According to tests, OrthoTape® Braid is flatter than similar tapes on the market. In fact, its profile is 40% thinner. The braid’s broad footprint gently contours and lays flat against the surface. It does not pull through tissue as easily as round suture.

OrthoTape® Braid is prepared from ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) that is strong, durable, and pliable. The braid is stronger than suture of similar size and material and has a silk-like feel that is gentle on tissue and gloves.

The braid has a large offering of colors and patterns including criss-cross and tracer strands. A variety of widths is available ranging from 1mm to 5mm. Both sterile and non-sterile product can be custom-configured to meet the requirements of many unique applications.
