Product Overview

PEEK Extrusion

Applications: Components in catheters used for coronary valve, stent, or graft delivery

• Bone cement delivery during orthopedic procedures
• Ablation, endoscopy, spinal, and vascular applications
• Potential as replacement for steel components used during many minimally invasive procedures

Benefits: High tensile and column strength – one of the highest strength to weight ratio of any thermoplastic
• High dimensional stability
• Low flexural modulus – PEEK withstands loads without deflection, which results in high pushability, excellent torque transmission, and the ability to handle buckling loads
• Very low elongation/elasticity – PEEK withstands force without elongating in the direction of the force
• High inherent lubricity results in minimal abrasion
• High chemical inertness
• High burst pressure
• High temperature performance/endurance
• Low conductivity

Dimensions: Max OD: 0.500” (12.7mm); min OD: 0.030” (0.762mm)

Wall thicknesses: Min: 0.005” (0.127mm); max: no maximum specification

PEEK extrusion can be customized to the sizes and lengths required for most applications
