(PEI) is designed to help the precision metal stamping industry create rapid prototypes of new medical device designs and introduce new products to market quickly and inexpensively. For as little as $2,000, a metal stamper can use the PEI Rapid Prototyping Program to create a custom tool or produce parts in small quantities (with a maximum thickness of 0.25 in. from a maximum sheet size of 18 in. x 24 in.) in as little as 2-3 weeks.
