PROBLEM SOLVED: eXcelon Transbronchial Aspiration Needle Case Study Intro

Content Summary

How can we better understand the needs of autistic children? By designing new medical devices that can measure a child’s stress and excitement.

Let us tell you a bit about one of our recent projects:

▪️ The problem: Dr. Rosalind Picard and Dr. Reyna L. Kaliouby wished to create a device that could help parents and caregivers understand children with autism so they can better tend to their needs.

▪️ The goal: Affectiva had the basic technology, but they needed help with getting a mechanical engineering assembly completed.

▪️ Our process: The HaA team engineered the outer shell, a basic PCB layout and a single tactile button design that was visible and easy to use.
