Product Overview

CO₂ Lasers

A CO₂ Laser has an output of 10,600 nm. These lasers operate by continuously broadcasting the light onto the part.

There are two main types of CO₂ Lasers. One has a gantry system that moves the laser over the part. These typically use glass tubes that frequently need replaced, as well as having moving parts that fail over time. In general, these CO₂ Lasers start at a low cost but have higher maintenance cost over the lifetime of the laser, along with shorter service life.

The other type of CO₂ Lasers is one that uses a series of mirrors, called a galvanometer, to move the beam of light onto the part below it without moving the laser head. Automark offers these CO₂ variants, as they operate continuously for years without costly maintenance.
