A later design of the full oximeter piece. A strong, permanent adhesive on the bottom layer adheres to the sensor that monitors oxygen in the surgical patient's blood. A second, skin-friendly, hydrocolloid adhesive goes against the patient, and is protected under the top layer. The top layer is removed with a specially-designed tab label. Die-cut windows allow viewing of LED indicators. This oximeter was specifically designed for pediatric use around the kidneys.
