For VGX prior to its merger with Inovio, RKS developed an electroporation device to deliver DNA vaccines intramuscularly and intradermally. This device measures tissue resistance and adapts electrical output to varying individual conditions, such as fat content in the muscle, skin thickness, or changing tissue resistance during the electroporation process. The device is portable, water-resistant, shockproof, battery operated, and software driven, making it particularly suited for usage in the field.
