Product Overview
Transducers
A transducer is an electronic device that converts energy from one form to another. Common examples include microphones, loudspeakers, and pressure sensors. There are two types of transducers, piezoelectric and electro-mechanical. Piezoelectric transducers react in the same way of Piezoelectric benders. Electro-mechanical transducers use a diaphragm, coil and magnet base to generate sound. The benefit of piezo electric transducers are lower power consumption and can withstand harsher environments (vibration and water). The benefits of Electro-mechanical transucers are that they are smaller in size, wider frequency range, better for extremely low temperatures.
