flexpoint HS-1
The flexpoint HS-1 is a barcode scanner specifically designed for use in healthcare applications. More than just a retail scanner that was made blue to be "healthcare" the HS-1 has a long list of specific designs and features that were developed from the ground up to address the challenges and workflows of healthcare use.
The HS-1 is backwards compatible to existing 1D / Linear barcodes and reads emerging 2D/Matrix based barcode standards. With agressive 360 degree reading the HS-1 allows for a more ergonomic scan so that the patient isn't disturbed and the nurse doesn't have to align the scanner just right - reducing nurse fatigue.
The HS-1 is IP sealed keeping the bad stuff out and has a housing that is compatible with medical cleansers. Cleaning the HS-1 is made easier thanks to its smooth lines and a "gunk-free" design that purposely reduces crevices where dirt can build up.
Best of all the HS-1 is small - so not only is it easy to hold and use, it stays out of the way when not in use.
