San Diego, CA – BIT Group announces the successful part-nering with BioNano Genomics of San Diego, CA to produce the Award Winning Irys instrument – part of the Irys Sys-tem, a revolutionary new genome mapping platform sys-tem which allows the study of DNA and the unique aspects of genomes that cannot currently be detected by other methods. BNG's breakthrough technology empowers ge-nomics researchers with a new way of achieving more ac-curate and comprehensive discoveries, including structural variation analysis and sequence assemblies.
The Irys instrument is a Medical Design Excellence Award (MDEA) winner for 2013. BIT Group's established molecular competence and specialized molecular R&D skill sets proved so fruitful in its relationship with BioNano that BIT was not only chosen to produce the first generation of Irys, but also to align with BioNano to plan and develop the second.
