Sukano is a leading international manufacturer of Masterbatches and Compounds for the plastics processing industry. In addition to our core competence in the polyester film and sheet market with PET, PETG and PLA, we offer solutions for Polycarbonate and Polyamide.

Founded in 1988 with headquarters in Switzerland, Sukano grew so rapidly that in August 2004 a new 23,000-square-foot manufacturing facility was added in Duncan, South Carolina. Furthermore in 2008 an additional new manufacturing facility will be opened in Malaysia. With a worldwide partner network and an international sales structure, we honor our promise of addressing each and every customer requirement in a flexible and dynamic way from the initial concept to product realization.

By developing a wide range of masterbatches designed for use with biodegradable PLA, as well as PET, PETG and PC polyesters, Sukano has ensured that these plastics can be ideally adapted for numerous applications. When developing new products there are now almost no limits on functional creativity. Anti-block and slip masterbatches with wax components and anti-block agents are used in, for example, food and pharmaceutical packaging to ensure excellent slip performance, low adhesion, fast, easy de-stacking and a high degree of transparency. Light protection concentrates protect the contents of the package from UV radiation and protect the packaging itself from discoloration or haze. Antistatic masterbatches prevent dust from gathering on the surface of packaging and avoid the build-up of an electrostatic charge. Nucleating agents facilitate controlled crystallisation and so help reduce cycle times as well as improving the product's mechanical and thermal properties. By using de-moulding agents and melt flow enhancers the specific injection pressure can be reduced.
