Laser Plastic Welding
In this process, two plastic parts are joined, each possessing different absorptive characteristics. The laser penetrates the top layer, which is transparent to that wavelength, but is absorbed by the bottom layer. The surface of the bottom layer melts, which in turn melts the adjoining surfaces of the top layer and both surfaces bind to each other
