Phoenix "PVDC UHB" is a biaxially oriented polyvinylidene chloride film with superior oxygen and moisture barrier properties. It offers aluminum foil-like barrier in a clear, low stretch, retortable plastic film. Additionally, "UHB" is microwavable as lidding stock and thermoformable in vacuum formed tub laminations. "UHB" provides excellent bond strength and is intended for either adhesive or extrusion lamination with selected primers and certain resins. It has the following features:
•Highest gas barrier of any plastic film
•Retortable, microwavable and shallow thermoformable
•Stable gas barrier under humid or dry conditions
•Excellent heat resistance and low water absorption
